Best Mexican:
Mercadito's guac sampler

3.  Toloache - 251 W. 50th St. nr. Broadway.  They are notorious for their delicious margaritas to accompany their delicious food!

Sashimi dinner @ Kanoyama
Best Sushi:

3.  Sushi Yasuda -  204 East 43rd St. nr. 3rd Ave. The most traditional sushi you'll find outside of Japan.  The prices aren't cheap, but their fish is worth the splurge.
